Should I allow my wife to drive her car other places besides the supermarket?

So I bought my wifey a mint condition 1982 Chevette to go shopping. At first she was very grateful because she didn't have to take the bus anymore to the supermarket. Now she wants to use the car for recreation, like getting her hair cut. Should I allow her to put more miles on the car for this purpose? It is a potentially valuable collectible car, so I want to keep it in good shape.
